We are so excited to launch our very first ever Blissful B'nai Mitzvah Learning Cohort! Our cohort will entail a diverse group of students, who are planning to begin their B'nai Mitzvah preparations in the Fall of 2023 and have their ceremony in Spring, Summer, or Fall 2024. Our cohort will be meeting on Zoom on Tuesdays from 4:15 pm-5:00 pm from Tuesday September 5th until Tuesday June 4th. We will be observing most Jewish Holidays and National Holidays. Students will also get private sessions with Miriam and guest teachers to learn their Torah portions and get help writing their D'var Torahs.

What does participation in the Bay Area B'nai Mitzvah Cohort look like?
​
- Loving Officiation of your child's ceremony, up to 2 hours long
​
- 40 Total Lessons over 10 months; 32 Group Lessons and 8 Private Lessons to write the Torah speech.
​
- Art Centered and Musical centered Creative Lessons on the topics of:
​
-Jewish Identity
​
- The Jewish Lunar Calendar and Significant Holidays
​
-Art projects such as - Making your own Tallit, Making your own Mezuzah, Making your own Shabbat Candles, Making your own Hamsa Home Blessing, Making your own B'nai Mitzvah Comic Strip, Learning about Jewish Values and Torah stories.

- A comprehensive Bay Area B'nai Mitzvah Binder with a Torah book, Guidelines on writing a Torah Speech, details on how to plan your child's ceremony and more!
​
- 3 months Dedicated to Learning how to Read and Write Hebrew
​
- A Hebrew Textbook
​
- 4 in-person meetings Cohort meetings in the Bay Area with the other students in the Cohort.
​
- 4 Parent Meetings focused on how to plan your child's B'nai Mitzvah, and a focus on bringing more Judaism into your home
​
- An In Person Rehearsal 2-4 week prior to the B'nai Mitzvah Ceremony
​
And so much more! Miriam has officated for over 60 students in the Bay Area, and taught Hebrew to hundreds of others, and is so excited to offer her first cohort.
